Classes are held on Mondays. All class times are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Bring a set of sheets to class Private instruction is available and must be scheduled with instructor All classes must be prepaid at least 7 days prior to class.

Thai Class - $175 Private instruction $150 Please Note: If a class is canceled due to bad weather or illness, the class will be rescheduled for the first available Monday.

Lymphatic Drainage This class offers an in depth review of the Lymphatic system, the nodes and watersheds. You will learn techniques to properly perform Lymphatic Drainage. The importance of knowing the contraindications, who can benefit from this therapy and how to market it. Classes offered: Monday Feb. 7 and June 6
Chair Massage Learn the importance of proper chair positioning and body mechanics when performing Chair Massage. Learn to maximize clients massage experience with a 15 or 30 minute chair session. Myofascial Release Review the basic anatomy and physiology of fascia. Learn to use postural analysis to evaluate postural distortions and bring the body back into balance using Myofasical release. Learn the anterior, posterior and lateral fascial lines. Classes Offered: Monday - Feb. 14 and June 13
Healing Hot Stone Massage Learn the basic techniques of using hot stones to enhance the massage experience. What equipment is needed, proper temperatures to use, what type of stones are used and how to care for your stones. Classes offered: Monday - April 4
Deep Tissue Therapy (Torso and Extremities) Learn to alleviate pain with effective deep tissue techniques, which includes functional assessment work through postural evaluation techniques, range of motion and resistive tests. Learn proper techniques for applying deep tissue strokes and proper body mechanics when performing deep tissue therapy to avoid injury.. Learn to use active and passive resistive exercises along with deep tissue strokes to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment. Learn how to market this therapy. Classes offered: Spring and Summer 2011 March 14, May 2 and July 11 Assessment and Treatment of Neck and Shoulder Pain This course is designed to learn the importance of proper assessment techniques when dealing with clients who complain of neck and shoulder pain. Anatomy review of the neck and Shoulder. Topics will include repetitive action injury to soft tissue, rotator cuff tears, arthritis, whiplash, postural instability, and other conditions related to the neck and shoulder. Learn techniques that include range of motion, active and passive resistance specific to the neck and shoulder. Bonus class for the therapist: Maintaining healthy hands, wrists and forearms. Thai Bodywork Learn the ancient way of realigning the body by reeducating the way to properly breathe and focus while performing active, passive stretch-hold techniques and deep compression to further stretch the muscle into a relaxed state. This is extremely effective for clients with chronic complaints related to lower back, shoulders, neck and poor posture. With this class you will learn an entire Thai Bodywork routine. This work is performed on the floor using a mat. Class offered: Monday - April 11 (In order to hold this class I require a minimum of three therapists to sign up) Please note: Thai Bodywork requires body flexibility. It is advised to begin a stretch routine at least 5-7 days prior to class date to avoid potential injury from over stretching.
Therapeutic Massage for Fibromyalgia Learn about Fibromyalgia, the symptoms and causes associated with this painful and often debilitating condition. Learn to understand what the client experiences with this condition and three different massage routines to help alleviate pain, aid in sleep and help headaches. Classes offered: Winter - Monday Jan. 24 Spring and Summer - Monday Feb 21, May 9 and July 18 Side Posture Massage Designed to assist clients who are unable to lie prone or supine. Learn to administer an effective full body massage with client lying on their side. Overcome the awkwardness of the side position utilizing proper draping, cushioning techniques, massage strokes and body mechanics. Centering Massage - Designed for the experienced therapist Learn how to integrate your massage routine utilizing several different modalities. In this course learn a massage routine for clients who are stressed, scattered or in emotional turmoil. This routine combines Lymphatic drainage, Myofascial release and Swedish massage. the benefits for the client are stress relief, deep relaxation, increased mental, emotional and spiritual clarity. Energizing Massage - Designed for the experienced therapist This course offers the experienced therapist a different approach for treating clients who are tired, lethargic or have limited vitality. Learn a massage routine combining Sports massage, Active resistive stretching, Lymphatic drainage, Breath work, Deep tissue and Swedish massage. Structural Balancing Massage - Designed for the experienced therapist This course is designed for the therapist experienced with certain modes of massage, learning to integrate them into one phenomenal session. This innovative routine is a deep muscular massage designed to release tension, loosen muscle and free restrictions. Learn to combine Side Posture massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial release and Swedish massage. The client will benefit from this massage with increased range of motion, muscle lengthening and improved posture. Bonus class for the therapist: Maintaining healthy hands, wrists and forearms. Stretch Away Pain - Have you ever heard someone say? "I just feel like I need to be stretched." Well...here's your chance to learn stretching techniques to help your client achieve greater flexibility, increase range of motion and decrease pain. Teach clients stretching techniques that they can do at home as a maintenance program between visits. Help to relieve back, shoulder, neck, hip and leg pain by learning simple stretches to apply along with massage. Classes offered: Monday - Jan 31 and May 23
